Hola!

Cozumel, Mexico-- our second port! We had quite a bit of trouble getting to land today-- our ship was late and pretty unorganized when it comes to tendering. Cruise ships 'tender' when there isn't enough room for them to dock... so they anchor near the dock... and send life boat type vessels to and from the ship... our problem this morning was that they only had 1 vessel operating to start... and 2,000 people who wanted to ride it! They eventually solved the problem and 'ordered' more mini boats (that carry about 150 people per trip)... but only after a number of very frustrated vacationers were yelling, cussing, and complaining. Corey and Steve stayed on the ship and enjoyed a little reading/ quiet/ honeymoon time (yes-- that's right-- this was also their honeymoon cruise!)-- while the rest of us battled the lines and the heat!

We jumped in a cab to downtown Cozumel... and spent most of the day walking and talking and shopping. The great part about shopping in the heat of Cozumel is that most shops offer $1 bottles of Corona... or free Margarittas if you buy something! We maintained our composer today... and did not even go into a bar until almost 3pm! We had to try 'Carlos and Charlies' where we danced to 'Booty-Booty-Booty-Booty-Booty All Around' (which ended up being our theme song for Spring Break '06). We were back to the dock to tender back to the boat by 4ish... but the line was out of control (which was, unfortunately, common during this Costa cruise)... so we did what we do best... and spent the hour of wait time in the bar near the line.. rather than in the line! We have some great video of the boys (and Cheryl) climbing the bar pole and dancing shirt-less! Another port to remember....
