Tahquamenon Falls
Our next stop was Paradise--- literally--- Paradise, Upper Michigan!
We arrived to our site at about 9pm after a full day at Pictured Rocks Park-- another beautiful site! We were lucky enough to have a spot right on the river. There was a slight breeze to help with some of the humidity from the day.
We immediately set up camp and lit the fire for dinner-- you always appreciate the food just a little bit more when you have to go to extreme lengths to cook it! We had corn on the cob and hamburgers-- mmmmm---
The next day we woke up with the sun and explored the area a little. There was cloud cover today, thankfully, it helped with the heat a little. There was also a little rain here and there to cool us off-- then we could blame the sweat spots on our shirts from the 'rain'-- another trick for chubby hikers!
We rented a row boat and rowed to an island-- for a better view of the falls-- Jason, the photographer, documented our every move!

Then we hiked around the island for some close-up views:

and finally.... drove to the look out point of the 'Upper Falls'.... the second largest falls east of the Mississippi!
