Poor puppy...

Poor puppy... Brady loves when we say that to him... it's his cue to give us his poutiest look... eyes and all....
Our first day back to work... was nothing like being on a cruise... and I'll just leave it at that...
We forgot our lunches (hanging on the apartment door), so Jason came home at lunch to pick them up. Brady ran to the door to greet him-- wiggling like crazy (as usual). Brady bonked his head during the greeting (on the desk that is next to the door right now). Then Brady turned around and ran to get his bone (he loves to put something in his mouth when he says hello-- almost like a welcome home present). As he turned, he started to slip-- seemingly on the wood floor-- and went into a seizure.
Jason saw the whole thing-- and said it was terrifying. Brady wouldn't respond or look at him, no matter what he said or did. Brady was all curled up in a ball on his side-- tight-- and tense-- so Jason scooped him up and ran him down to the car. Then he called me at school (thankfully it was during lunch so I could leave right away) and I left to meet him at the animal hospital.
By the time Jason got to the animal hospital, Brady was 'coming to'... very groggy and spastic... kind of like when he was a puppy. The doctors did some tests and talked to us quite a bit about seizures... why they happen and what to do.
Brady was the extreme sappy puppy the rest of the day... following us around and nestling his head on our lap whenever he had a chance. He was obviously a little worn from the day as well.
There has been no sign of trouble since... he is back to 100% crazy Brady... so we are crossing our fingers that it was a one time seizure due to bonking his head on the desk... and hopefully it will never happen again... the animal gods (Cody and Cody) have been watching over him...
